• The manufacturer, under pressure from the authorities, rectified all the defects and today the 787 is one of the safest in the world.
• For example, the aircraft has a very interesting design for passenger blinds, where instead of the traditional retractable shutters, the windows have a special inner layer of liquid crystals that, depending on the electrical voltage, completely black out the glass in 20 seconds.
• Boeing has so far produced more than 1,010 units in various versions.
• The price for the aircraft, depending on the version and equipment, ranges from 185 to 220 000 000 USD.
