You know that:

• Unfortunately, Israel has gone through many conflicts in its history and has transformed the experience into one of the best tanks in the world.
• The first tank prototype was completed in 1974, followed by rapid testing and the start of production at Mantak.
• The whole tank design was subordinated to the needs of crew protection and therefore the machine was equipped with double armour, ammunition storage in special capsules and an engine in the front.
• In the space between the outer and inner armour, accumulators are installed to increase ballistic protection.
• The Merkava is one of the first tanks ever to incorporate a digital day/night fire control system.
• The only mobile machine outside of Israel is located in a military museum in Prague.
